The task

Hymatik was founded in 1830 and is one of Odense’s oldest companies. Up until 2018, it was known as Rasmus Holbeck Hydraulik. Michael Harder bought the company in 2016 and immediately embarked on a comprehensive digital transformation that involved rethinking the way hydraulic pumps are sold and distributed.

This process has resulted in an additional business unit, where the goal is to develop a world-leading trading platform that independently connects all Parkers Stores in the world. For that task, Hymatik needed a new strategy, concept, logo, slogan and visual identity.

The strategy

The first phase consisted of a series of interviews with potential customers for the concept in 5 European countries, which included personal interviews with management and employees. After that, Brems & Co. facilitated a number of workshops with the management

Through analysis and workshops, it soon became clear that Hymatik and their new business concept had great potential,

and an ambitious strategy and plan for the new business unit was made that included a vision, mission and Value Propositions.

The logo and visual identity were redesigned based on the recognizable parts of the old Rasmus Holbeck name and logo with a simultaneous focus on signaling a new era.

The result

Hymatik’s revenue has doubled with an increase in gross profit from DKK 2.5 million in 2017 to DKK 4.7 million in 2019.

Visits to their website have increased by 166% of which 20% are international.

Hymatik has brought Sustainable Development Goal 12 into focus, and through digitalization tries to rethink warehousing and logistics, and tries to avoid producing new goods for customers and instead utilize warehouses of other retailers around the world.
